AITO M5 EV to Be Launched on September 7

Chinese media outlet Yiche learned from sources on August 17 that the AITO M5 EV under the AITO banner jointly built by Huawei and Seres will announce its retail price at Huawei’s new product launch conference on September 7.

The AITO M5 EV is also expected to become the first model equipped with the HarmonyOS 3.0 system and be made available in two range versions, 500km and 540km.

The new vehicle will still possess the design of the AITO M5 extended range version but add a new color option of “warm nebula.” The name of the new color comes from the romance of the polar nebula, and the overall appearance is of a warm tone. Since the new vehicle is a pure EV, the large grille design has been removed from the front of the car, and the interior of the headlight group also adopts a new lamp cavity shape. In addition, the new vehicle offers 19-inch and 20-inch rims for consumers.

The new vehicle still uses a similar tail light grouping found on the company’s other vehicles, but the logo on the tail of this AITO M5 will be lit by the tail lights themselves while the red “AITO” logo will make the grouping more pronounced. In terms of body size, the new vehicle measures 478519301620mm in length, width and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 2880mm.

Officials also revealed that the new vehicle will be available in a standard version with 19-inch rims and a low wind resistance design, while the high-end model will provide 20-inch rims and adopt a large-area closed design to further reduce the drag coefficient.

It will also continue to be equipped with HarmonyOS intelligent console to improve the intelligent level of pure EVs.
