Huawei Unveils Mate X3 Foldable Smartphone and Other New Products

Chinese telecommunications and consumer tech giant Huawei held a new product launch event on the afternoon of March 23. It launched new products including flagship smartphones, foldable smartphones, an entry-level smartphone, smart watches, headphones, a tablet, laptops and a new commercial brand.

Huawei Mate X3 foldable smartphone

Huawei Mate X3 is equipped with Huawei’s Linxi technology, which supports two-way Beidou satellite messages. The phone can send and receive information without ground network signal connections.

Huawei WATCH Ultimate

Huawei WATCH Ultimate is equipped with an ultra-solid amorphous zirconium alloy and features a 1.5-inch LTPO OLED flexible screen made of sapphire. It supports IP68 and 10ATM while retaining audio devices, and is waterproof up to 100 meters.

Huawei WATCH Ultimate also supports two-way Beidou satellite messaging. At the same time, it supports the brand-new 100-meter scuba diving mode and provides all-round health monitoring.

Huawei WATCH Ultimate is priced from 5,999 yuan to 6,999 yuan and will go on sale in China at 10:08 on March 30.

Huawei Talkband B7

At the new product launch event, the Huawei Talkband B7 was also released. The new product continued the two-in-one form of a bracelet and earpiece found in Huawei’s B series wrist bands. The B7 has a 1.53-inch screen with a 326 PPI. With Huawei’s fast charging technology, users can talk for 4 hours after charging for only 10 minutes.

The B7 is equipped with the Kirin A1 chip, which supports dual MIC noise reduction, automatic blood oxygen detection, intelligent heart rate monitoring and other health and auxiliary functions.

The B7 Talkband is priced from 999 yuan to 1199 yuan, and will be officially launched in China on March 30.

Huawei Enjoy 60

In addition to its main product announcements, Huawei also unveiled an update to its Enjoy series, its entry-level mobile phone line up.

Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2+

Huawei also released the FreeBuds Pro 2+, the industry’s first wireless headset with heart rate and body temperature measurement. Based on flagship audio delivery, this headset adds heart rate monitoring and temperature detection to support multi-scenario voice intelligent broadcast.

This earphone is jointly designed by Huawei and Devialet, a French audio technology company. It supports high-definition spatial audio and intelligent dynamic noise reduction 2.0.

Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2+ will go on sale April 7, and will be priced at 1499 yuan.

This headset adopts an innovative full-curved streamlined design. After tens of thousands of ergonomic simulation tests and micron-sized product size polishing, these new earphones are shaped in the manner of a futuristic “water drop”.

The Huawei FreeBuds 5 are equipped with a super magnetic induction surge unit, dual magnetic circuit architecture and sound pressure Turbo technology. The earbuds have ultra-wideband real-time listening optimization and dual HD audio authentication.

In addition, this headset supports three types of microphone hybrid noise reduction. The ultimate version supports super fast charging with which the headset can charge for 5 minutes and last for 2 hours, which is 200% higher than that of the previous generation.

This headset will go on sale on March 30. The standard version will start at 899 yuan while the price of the ultimate version will be 999 yuan.

Huawei MatePad 11

The 2023 Huawei MatePad 11 is equipped with an 11-inch 2.5K display, which supports a refresh rate of 120Hz. It has a built-in 7250mAh battery and supports 22.5W fast charging. The tablet is equipped with Huawei’s patented base station array Wi-Fi antenna and four-channel four-amp speakers, giving the tablet an excellent built-in sound system.

As for the processor, the new tablet is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 mobile processing platform and HarmonyOS 3.1 system. This tablet will be officially launched on March 30.

Huawei’s new commercial brand Qingyun

At the press event, Huawei Device BG officially released a new commercial brand – Huawei Qingyun. Huawei Qingyun S540, a commercial laptop product, is built for small and medium-sized enterprise users, while the Huawei Qingyun G540 laptop adopts a brand-new business ID and is built for large-sized enterprise customers.
