OPPO 5G Phones Coming to China in Third Quarter 2019

OPPO announced today that, following approvals of their radio model from the National Radio Regulatory Commission (SRRC) and Tell Labs, they will be releasing 5G mobile phones in China during the third quarter of 2019. These approvals mean that OPPO’s 5G phones are now ready for to be formally sold to consumers while also validating the level of performance.

Liu Chang, president of the OPPO research institute, fully endorsed OPPO capabilities provide 5G ready technology to China, citing the crucial developments in 5G network infrastructure to make it all possible. Additionally, at the recent “China Mobile 5G+ Conference”, OPPO officially delivered the first batch of 5G prototypes to China Mobile. OPPO is a commercial leader in 5G mobile devices, as it previously delivered the OPPO Reno 5G version to China Unicom in April this year.

In addition, at MWC 2019 in Shanghai tomorrow, the OPPO booth will showcase their latest achievements in 5G including the OPPO Reno 5G mobile phone and related applications like 5G cloud gaming. OPPO is seeking to capitalize on the incoming 5G market, which is predicted to boost revenues in areas like telecom, entertainment and smartphone sales.
