Tencent Showcases Vehicle-cloud Integration Technology

Tencent showcased its vehicle-cloud integration technology and advances in smart driving maps, cockpit interaction solutions and more on the Tencent Intelligent Mobility Ecosystem Day on April 17.

So far, Tencent has offered services to 100 car and ride-hailing companies. It has also established collaborative innovation plans with over 600 ecological partners. Furthermore, its intelligent cockpit solution has been installed in more than 8 million vehicles.

Tencent‘s integration of vehicle and cloud technology enhances the efficiency of R&D engineering by shifting the production system to the cloud. Additionally, it introduces novel user service models through multi-terminal interactions.

Tencent has introduced an intelligent vehicle cloud platform that caters to the needs of the autonomous driving and intelligent vehicle industry. This platform is built on a combination of public, private, and exclusive clouds.

Tencent has leveraged its compliance expertise in cloud and mapping to create a fully compliant data closed-loop service for autonomous driving, prioritizing safety. This end-to-end solution guarantees that the platform’s functions are promptly updated in response to policy changes.

Tencent‘s latest autonomous driving storage solution is capable of meeting the flexible deployment requirements of cloud, edge, and local data centers. It can store up to 10 trillion objects using Tencent‘s YottaStore storage engine while reducing storage costs by an average of 50%.

Tencent has introduced the HD Air, a product tailored for urban intelligent driving. The primary focus of HD Air is to provide essential features required for intelligent driving. It guarantees precision and meets L2+ level automatic driving standards while also reducing mapping expenses and laying the groundwork for widespread implementation of urban-level intelligent driving. To ensure weekly updates, HD Air employs various collection and update methods that offer more real-time and accurate data to adapt to rapidly changing urban environments. Furthermore, it supports three-dimensional, realistic, and real-time map rendering for points of interest, buildings, and environments, among others.

Tencent has introduced the “Uni-map” production mode, which combines various levels of map data including standard maps, assisted driving maps, and high-precision maps.

During the meeting, a new and improved intelligent in-car voice assistant was introduced to the public. This upgraded version boasts features such as short update cycles and fast optimization speed. Tencent has combined 3D digital humans with voice assistants to create functions that can recognize multiple dialects and languages. According to official sources, this advanced voice assistant has already been implemented in over 15 car companies.
