Baidu Established the Second R&D Center in Silicon Valley

On October 4 morning, Baidu set up its second R&D center in Silicon Valley. Currently, the R&D center has been put into use. The goal is to recruit more talents in the field of AI and automatic driving.

The R&D centre, located in Sunnyvale, covers an area of 36,000 square feet. At present, the Intelligent Driving Group (IDG) and the Internet security division are working in the R&D center. IDG is building an open source unmanned driving platform for Apollo.

The new R&D center can accommodate 150 employees. It is equipped with a car lab, mainly related to unmanned driving and Internet security. The main task of the R&D center is to do some forward-looking research in AI and data center field.
