The vehicles within the scope of this recall may have a turbocharger oil filter mesh with a narrow width, which could potentially become clogged by oil/carbon deposits in the engine oil. This can result in insufficient lubrication of the turbocharger bearings, and in extreme cases, lead to bearing wear, impeller contact with the housing, or damage to the shaft. As a consequence, warning lights on the dashboard (EPC, MIL or oil warning light) may illuminate, there may be delayed starting, unstable idling, lack of power and even potential stalling while driving. There is a safety risk associated with these issues.

FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. will entrust Audi authorized dealers to replace the optimized turbocharger oil filter free of charge for vehicles within the recall scope, in order to eliminate safety hazards.
