Redmi Note 12 Turbo Harry Potter Edition to Be Launched March 28

On March 27, Redmi, a smartphone brand owned by Xiaomi, announced its partnership with the Harry Potter novel series to release the world’s first co-branded Harry Potter smartphone. The new model is expected to be a customized version of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo and will be released on March 28 at Beijing Universal Resort.

Since its announcement, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo series has been marketed as having “magic” features, including claims of magical performance  and imaging. The firm even invited famous magician Louis Liu to create a video showcasing some magical tricks using their phones. The choice of venue for their release event at Beijing Universal Resort and this recent announcement about collaborating with Harry Potter all suggest that this new device will have magical attributes.

The term “magic” often refers to visuals that are hard to believe or define as being enchanted. Therefore, it can be inferred that the Redmi Note 12 Turbo is expected to have many unexpected magical performances beyond what one would expect from a phone in its price range.

However, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo itself is already an eagerly anticipated phone. It will feature Qualcomm’s second-generation Snapdragon 7+ processor jointly defined by Redmi and Qualcomm along with Snapdragon 8+ mobile platform technology architecture, which promises an experience surpassing previous mid-range smartphones.

In addition, Redmi Note 12 Turbo supports quick snap stabilization with the help of OIS optical stabilization and Xiaomi‘s Imaging Brain 2.0 technology, allowing users to capture exciting moments. It is also equipped with In-sensor Zoom optical quality zoom technology, so photos will remain clear. It has a 64MP main camera. With a 5000mAh battery, it has an ultra-lightweight body weighing only around 181g while its thickness is just 7.9mm.

Redmi has previously collaborated with other classic IPs to launch new products, such as the Note 11T limited edition co-branded with Astro Boy and Redmi AirDots 3 Pro in partnership with Genshin Impact’s Klee. Both of these products were customized in terms of appearance and system, and received a lot of attention from consumers upon release. This shows how much recognition Redmi’s collaborative products have gained among consumers.
