The Export Value of Chinese Lithium-ion Batteries Increased by 73.2% in the First Four Months of 2023

On May 29th, the China Industrial Association of Power Sources (CIAPS) announced that from January to April 2023, the cumulative export value of lithium-ion batteries in China was $21.24 billion, compared to $12.26 billion during the same period in 2022, representing a year-on-year growth of 73.2%.

The cumulative export quantity of lithium-ion batteries from January to April 2023 was 1.13 billion, a decrease of 11% compared to the same period in 2022, which was 1.27 billion.

According to the disclosure, ranked by export value, the United States, Germany and South Korea are the top three countries for China’s lithium-ion battery exports from January to April this year.
